This study program responds to the raising awareness of the impact of mental health on the standard of living.

It was created under the patronage of the Life Balance Foundation, the organiser of the nationwide initiative “Poznaj depresję, poznaj siebie” [Know depression, know yourself], addressed to school and college students that have recently been more and more affected by the issued of depression (more information at … )

Magdalena Cieśla, the President of the Foundation, was largely involved in the work on the programme.

As a certified coach, trainer of FRIS and DISC thinking styles, RBT therapist, author of the Development and Realisation of Strengths [RRSS – Rozwój i Realizacja Silnych Stron] model and an academic teacher, she took care of the substantive aspect of the programme, based on her knowledge and experience. She is a PhD student at the Poznań University of Technology, where she researches the impact of Stress Reduction Techniques and meditation on depression, burnout, attention, memory and concentration. She is also the creator and editor-in-chief of the “Żyj naturalnie” [Live naturally] magazine and the website www.kierunekzdrowie.info.

Information about the activities of the Foundation and Magdalena Cieśla is available on the following websites:

The Foundation aims at presenting and introducing to science a new, alternative path to mental health, by promoting an interdisciplinary, holistic approach to health, based on the biopsychosocial model. Through numerous training courses and workshops, the Foundation teaches how to positively cope with everyday stress. It helps you discover your strengths and teaches you how to use them every day to be happier. It shows health and well-being as a combination of physical, mental and social aspects.
